JUL x GUSHKA: the coziest drop about the warmth

This winter has shown us how important it is to keep warm inside and to share it with the world. The new drop by JUL x GUSHKA is all about that. About warmth in all its manifestations: beginning with the hugs of a loved one and ending with a cozy scarf that you can wrap yourself in. We have combined modern elements of comfort with traditional crafts so that they would be available to everyone who wants to treat themselves to a live custom.

The GUSHKA brand, which specialises in creating woolen products, took its beginning in the mountain town of Kosiv, the center of Hutsul culture. This region has long been known as a famous center of weaving, where traditions have been passed from one generation to the next. From the thread to the cut of the finished product, everything is hand-made with no automated processes engaged. This makes each element of the collection absolutely unique.

The collection includes clothing, accessories, and home decor items. A lizhnyk (a Hutsul traditional bed cover) and rugs were made with traditional Ukrainian weaving technology. The threads for long colorful scarves and knitted vests were hand-made by the masters of the Kosiv region.

Fluffy bags decorated with bells are the highlights of the collection. The bells are not just nice details. Here we recreated the real bells, which usually are put on sheep before they are sent to the pasture, in miniature size. They are also made in the same region. In every product, in each detail, you can feel the live touch of the people who created them.

JUL x GUSHKA drop is about special moments together, about Christmas Eve, about the desire to share and make people around you happier, to surround them with love. It is about the coziness that you can feel only around your loved ones. It is about the traditions that unite us like never before.
